Prof. Ahmad Shahbaz, MBBS. MS. FACC, received his medical education at the most pertigious medical institute of Pakistan King Edward Medical University Lahore. He completed his general surgery residency and cardiovascular surgery fellowship at Postgraduate Medical Institute of (PGMI), Lahore) University of Health Sciences, Lahore

Prior to joining Punjab Institute of Cardiology, Dr. Ahmad Shahbaz worked at Mayo Hospital Lahore. As a surgeon, he has unique skills and has performed more than 1800 different cardiac surgery procedures.

Current he is working as Professor of Cardiac Surgery / Head of Department of Cardiac Surgery at Punjab Institute of Cardiology.

Prof. Ahmad Shahbaz interests are Adult Cardiac Surgery, Preventive & Rehabilitation of Cardiovascular Diseases and strong teamwork.
